What is the RYE + WILLIAMS lifetime outerwear Warranty Policy?

RYE + WILLIAMS products are designed and handmade with an extraordinary attention to detail and the highest quality materials, ensuring you are prepared for everyday and everywear.  All outerwear purchased from is guaranteed against material and manufacturer defect for the lifetime of the garment.

If your outerwear has any manufacturing defect, we will repair the product free of charge, or replace it at our discretion. If your exact style is not currently available for replacement, you can elect to receive a product of similar value.

This warranty is limited to outerwear and does not cover any damages due to normal wear and tear, accidents or improper care. If RYE + WILLIAMS inside garment tags are removed, the warranty will also be void. For all inquiries regarding our warranty, please email us at or call 1-312-523-3918.


How much will my repair cost?

If the repair is covered by the RYE + WILLIAMS Warranty Policy, there is no charge to you (subject to shipping costs). Non-warranty repair costs will vary and be assessed on a case by case basis. If cleaning is needed charges will be assessed or the product may be returned to you if it cannot be adequately cleaned. I’ve got a question about my claim, who can I contact?

Who handles shipping costs?

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping items to RYE + WILLIAMS, and RYE + WILLIAMS will cover the return shipping costs. You are responsible for the outerwear until its delivery -- please choose a carrier that provides a tracking number. If a tracking number is not supplied, we cannot cover any repairs. RYE + WILLIAMS will not be liable for lost in-bound packages. Sending your outerwear back will be at your own risk.


How do I submit a Warranty/Service claim?

Please email with your order number and 2-3 images of the damage. a Customer advocacy Team member will reply to your correspondence with any additional questions needed to assess your repair. We will then make a determination and notify you of the subsequent decision within three business days. if the damage is covered under our warranty, we’ll send instructions for shipping your outerwear to us for repair. you will be able to track the progress of the repair process online.


How long is my outerwear covered by the RYE + WILLIAMS Lifetime Warranty?

Our Lifetime Warranty covers your outerwear for as long as you own and continue to wear it unaltered and under reasonable circumstances which we have discretion to determine.

We manufacture every outerwear to meet our superior quality standards, but no matter the quality, all outerwear will begin to show signs of age and wear such as faded fabric or frayed cuffs. Daily wear will result in the degradation of materials and finishing.

Practical lifetime of your outerwear depends on how often it was worn and how well it was cared for. We take this into consideration when assessing your warranty request. If we deem that your outerwear is not a material or manufacturing defect, your outerwear may have just reached its practical lifetime. The outerwear’s lifetime may be different from your personal lifetime.


What isn’t covered under warranty?

We get it. RYE + WILLIAMS clients are busy making stuff happen, and sometimes accidents do happen. Tears, rips or other damages to RYE + WILLIAMS products are not covered under our warranty. however, we will service these needs through our tailor & treatment team, and we will pass through our cost to you.

Improper care or not following the care instructions on the label inside your outerwear may result in damages that are not covered under our warranty. If we cannot repair your garment, we will make sure to notify you immediately.


Will tailoring or altering my outerwear void the warranty?

Yes, your outerwear will not be covered by our warranty, should you alter or tailor any part of the garment. Please also note that removing the tags from the inside of your outerwear will void the warranty.


How long will it take to get my product back?

We want to return your outerwear as quickly as possible so you can get back to your life out there. It typically takes 30 business days from the time we receive your product to the time we ship it back to you. Throughout the process we will keep you updated with any key considerations.


Miscellaneous Limitations and Exclusions

The warranty is only available in the United States.

RYE + WILLIAMS  is not responsible for direct, incidental or consequential damages. The above limitation, however, may not apply to you, if you live in a state that does not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages.

Further, the duration of the warranty may not apply to you because some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts.

Although this warranty gives you specific legal rights you may have additional rights depending on the applicable state laws.
